Focused on
Nebraska's Future,
Not Political Fights.
Join Team Walz
Lynne Walz: Teacher,
Mom and Faith Leader.
Lynne Walz is a lifelong Nebraskan, former teacher, and bipartisan problem-solver who’s running for Governor to bring common sense, compassion, and integrity back to Nebraska’s leadership.
A Different Kind of
Leader for Nebraska.
Lynne believes in working together to grow our economy, strengthen schools, and create better futures for our kids.
Unifying Nebraska
The things that bring us together are far stronger than what divides us. I believe in freedom, hard work, and personal responsibility. I want a better life for our families. I want low taxes, strong schools, and a bustling economy where we have opportunities to get ahead. I cannot let political elites and large tech and media companies continue to divide us. Nebraska can once again rise above the dysfunction. I am a leader with a track record of putting parties aside to get results.
Respecting the Will of the Voters
Nebraskans have had their voices heard on key issues, like medical marijuana, paid sick leave, minimum wage, school vouchers, and more. When the voters speak, our job as representatives is to listen. Unfortunately, our current leadership believes their personal stances on specific issues supersedes Nebraskans. That’s wrong and disqualifying.
Honesty & Transparency in Government
Nebraskans deserve honest leaders who will tell people what they need to know, not just what they want to hear. I will fight for an honest, transparent government. It’s time to provide full transparency to Nebraskans and stop corruptive behaviors.
Grow Nebraska
Nebraska has so much potential. We are in the center of the country and can be a hub for transportation, manufacturing, and so much more. I will provide tools to grow and support businesses and attract new businesses to our state. I will grow our rural communities by investing in broadband, agriculture, and small businesses on Main Street. I will create an environment that keeps our young people and families here.
Addressing Affordability
Nebraskans work hard for a living and should be able to afford to take care of their families. The essentials like housing, childcare, healthcare, and groceries are too expensive. I will work with state and national leaders to address our affordability crisis.
A Fair Tax System
Property taxes and taxes in general are too high. I will responsibly look at ways to cut taxes while ensuring vital services remain strong and that we can balance our budget. That relief needs to be more targeted so it helps the working families, not just the state’s top earners. I have a proven track record of producing bipartisan plans to help all Nebraskans.
Protecting Freedom
The government should be protecting our freedoms, not taking them away. I believe that our elected leaders should not be telling people how to live their lives, raise their children, or take care of their own health and well-being. My focus won’t be on policing our personal lives: instead, it’ll be to grow Nebraska’s economy.
Building Strong Communities
I will ensure that Nebraska is a place where our children will want to live when they grow up. In addition to creating economic opportunities, we need to ensure our communities are thriving so families want to live here. We need strong schools, vibrant community spaces, strong main streets, and continued investments for police officers and firefighters to keep us safe.

It’s been a great first day of our Growing Nebraska Tour in western Nebraska. We started the day near Broken Bow with a tour of the Cooksley Ranch and an interview with KBEAR 92.3 before heading to lunch at the Tumbleweed Cafe in Broken Bow. 1/2
After a short flight to Scottsbluff, we did another radio interview, this time with KNEB before heading to our town hall in where 90+ people showed. We’re just getting started! 2/2
“If you look at the facts, you can easily see [economic development] is not a priority,” said Bradford, the former Omaha chamber chair. “Some people are OK with just focusing on property taxes.”

It was a busy day for Team Walz. We started out at the Women’s Summit in Fremont before heading to the Graff Family Farm in Beatrice to discuss the challenges facing farmers across Nebraska. We ended the day at a town hall with 75+ people. Thanks to the people of Gage county!
Since Gov. Pillen took office, there has been a $1.8+ billion downward swing in the budget.
This is unsustainable. Nebraska can’t continue down this path.
We hope you’ll join us next week in Scottsbluff as we take our Grow Nebraska Tour to western Nebraska!
Nebraskans are tired of high costs, rampant corruption, and a Governor that’s not working for them.
This poll proves it. And this November, we’re going to win.
POLL ALERT: A new #NEGov poll shows Democrat Lynne Walz within striking distance of Republican Governor Jim Pillen. Trump won Nebraska by 20 points in 2024.
🟥 Jim Pillen: 38%
🟦 Lynne Walz: 33%
⬜ Undecided/Other: 29%
PPP | 4/6-4/7 | 670 RV | ±3.8%

“‘We need to be more welcoming, more compassionate, and make sure people feel they belong here. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or Republican,’ she said. 'I care about bringing people together.’” 2/2
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of touring UNMC to see some of their state-of-the-art facilities. UNMC is truly a gem to Nebraska!
As I’ve traveled the state, I’ve heard time and time again that property taxes are crushing Nebraskans, especially our farmers. It's incredibly disappointing that no action was taken to provide property tax relief for hard-working Nebraskans.
Nebraska senators pass 50 bills, no action taken on property taxes
The Nebraska Legislature passed 50 bills Thursday and discussed, but did not act on, property taxes.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been five weeks since I launched this exploratory committee on November 24th. When I started, I wasn`t sure what to expect, but the outpouring of support has been incredible. Whether I was advocating for folks with disabilities or serving on the school board, I’ve always believed that the best way to lead is by listening first. This past month, you’ve given me so much to think about. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s make 2026 the year of common sense.

My heart is just full looking back at these moments from our tour last week! We hit the road to start a real conversation, but you all turned it into a movement. It’s so clear that Nebraskans are ready to trade the political noise for some good old-fashioned common sense. I’m more inspired than ever to fight for our state’s future.

My heart is truly full after our incredible town hall in Lincoln this morning. To every single person who came out and faced the snowy roads and cold, thank you. Your commitment to showing up and sharing your story is the ultimate proof that Nebraskans are ready for a new kind of leadership.
We talked about restoring integrity to the Governor’s office and making sure we tackle core issues like property taxes and strong schools. Your faith in this effort is my motivation.
Now, we head to Omaha for the final stop on this listening tour! I am so excited to see my fellow Nebraskans this afternoon.

What a journey it’s been already! Still reflecting on the incredible conversations in Columbus last night. What I keep hearing is a deep frustration with political noise that distracts from our everyday lives. As a former teacher, small business owner, and advocate, I understand that frustration.
That`s why I`m so excited for the final two stops in Lincoln and Omaha today. This campaign isn’t about me; it’s about starting a real, statewide conversation about the kind of commonsense leadership Nebraska truly deserves. I hope to meet you there!
